This is the milkweed that our best friends gave us. I LOVE the close up picture of the blooms! |
I love the simplicity of this flower. |
I am so proud of my dahlia this year. My Mom gave me this last year and I had it in containers. This year I replanted it in my flower garden. It sure is looking pretty healthy so far! |
Don't ask me why. I just love to take weird pictures. This is the back of the dahlia! I just thought it was beautiful. |
After the rain.... |
Look at my baby chick!!! Do you see her? She is peeking her head out! I actually have several. Jackie sent me these. I just love them. She said I must be doing ok if they already have chicks! I didn't realize all the dirt on this pot until I saw this picture. I had just repotted these! Aren't they cute??? |
And more strawberries.......... I am so excited! I am linking up with Tootsie & Cottage Flora!!! Today I am thankful for.....learning to "Let go & Let God." (notice I said learning). To all my blogging sisters..... Blogger is still not letting me leave comments. I was able to leave one today. I will be glad when they get it fixed. Just know I am visiting. Edit: My blogging sister Mildred told me to uncheck where it says to keep me signed in. I did. So far, so good. I have left several comments! Thanks Mildred! |

Hi Val, Love all these flowers and wasn't the rain nice today?
I have read that if you uncheck "keep me signed in", you will be able to leave a comment.
Hope you will have a nice weekend.
That first flower is not a hydranga, but other than that I don't know what it is.
I am going to have to look up close to our milkweeds.
And the little purple flower you like, it is a spider worth.
Beautiful flowers!
Patti
Thanks Val, it's so nice to comment again. Mr. P. says the first flower is a hydranga. You know me, lovely to look at and have around but I don't know beans about flowers and outside. You sure do have some beautiful blooms though. Love the delicate blooms on that milkweed. So cute. Hoping we can get back to blogging and commenting now. Have a great weekend.
Thanks for linking up this post at Cottage Flora Thursday's - i am going to have to say that first photo is a hydrangea - peek around to see all the other hydrangea shares & you will see it's the same. & yes that purple one is a spiderwort! so pretty xoox, tracie
O yes, I love your flowers too! That is cute of a "dahlia's view of its corner of the world!
I just hope some of my flowers are left -we had a WILD Thunderstorm this afternoon that has lasted about 3 hours -thunder and lightening and wind and the electricity went off and on a few times . And you would know - I had Just hung my clothes up on the outside clothes line ! I just hope I have some clothes left that did not blow into the next county! :)
BEAUTIFUL flowers! And I'm so glad you can comment again!

Blogger is so iffy sometimes. I'll check on my blog to find out if it's acting up again. :-)
Have a great Memorial Day weekend!!
I love walking through your garden and seeing the pretty flowers and yummy strwberries too.
Yes Mildred is right. It works.
Your flowers are gorgeous as always! Jackie sent me some hens and I am hoping I have planted them right so they will have little chicks! My spider worths are blooming so beautifully, also. They are a joy.
The first flower is a hydrangea Val, what special name I do not know. There are Snowball Viburnams I believe but they are white or very pale green..I want some seeds off that white milkweed...I like the back of flowers and buds too.
Love your gorgeous flowers. Hugs
I love all those big round type of flowers!!! lol

All of your flowers are so beautiful an I'm glad to report that my own are finally blooming as well...the Spring flowers at least! lol That first flower you showed is a Hydrangea. Mine is really starting to grow but the buds haven't started to form yet, just a matter of time though:-) I was looking at my strawberry plants in the veggie garden (which hasn't been planted yet) and I'm guessing in a couple of weeks I'll have strawberries. Woohoo! xoxo
