Soon they will become teenagers and think they know it all. (lol)
Then one day it will be time to push them out of the nest to see if they can make it on their own.
No matter what. Once they are out of the nest the parents go on with their own lives.
Maybe we need to take lessons from these geese!
Love them with all your heart but know that they have to make their own mistakes
just like we did.
And life goes on......
TODAY I AM THANK FOR............serenity.
The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen. |

Lovely post Valerie, thank you. I passed swans with their babies when walking to church this morning...you are right we can learn so much from these creatures
Yes, I think we COULD learn something from those geese! Have a wonderful Sunday and hopefully, a restful tomorrow.
What fun it is to see them grow up and become independent!
I'm following your advice about posting and giving it a try here on your blog.
Amen to that - those little babies are so cute!
O shoot - how proud the Mom and Day look! Thank goodness that they found your beautiful pond to raise their babies on!
Hello dear Val:-)
Gosh, it seems like ages since I've taken the time to visit my dear blogging friends. Shame on me!! I love all of these picture of the geese family and you're so right, we can certainly learn a lot by watching birds and animals with their young ones. xoxo
Very well said...and so true!
