And Life Goes On....

Mom & Dad are still in charge of the care and protection of these little ones!

Look how peaceful they look.
It reminds me of young children when they don't have a care in the world.

The parents have all they worry and work.
They are constantly watching out for something that might hurt their babies.

They teach their babies how to feed themselves and be independant.
I was watching the geese and the babies this morning and I noticed
that they do not force them to eat. They don't go behind them nudging them all the time.
 They just lead by example.
When they were first born they fed them.  Now they just have the faith that
the babies will follow them and learn.

Soon they will become teenagers and think they know it all. (lol)
Then one day it will be time to push them out of the nest to see if they can make it on their own.
No matter what. Once they are out of the nest the parents go on with their own lives.
Maybe we need to take lessons from these geese!
Love them with all your heart but know that they have to make their own mistakes
just like we did.
And life goes on......

TODAY I AM THANK FOR............serenity.

The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity

to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him

Forever in the next.
Amen.

Hello dear Val:-)

Gosh, it seems like ages since I've taken the time to visit my dear blogging friends. Shame on me!! I love all of these picture of the geese family and you're so right, we can certainly learn a lot by watching birds and animals with their young ones. xoxo
