| Teresa & I reconnected through facebook and our High school luncheons. We were always good friends in school and had a lot of fun together. Who would have thought we would be taking a crocheting class together many years later. |

| Well, there is Angel!!! Yes she has been with me to my crocheting class a couple of times. She is learning to make a very good chain! She has her own way just like her Gran (me) to hold her hands while crocheting. |

| And here is another Angel!!! This is Teresa's granddaughter. Teresa is like me and loves being a grand and we both love to teach them what we learn! |

| Teresa brought her Granny's crochet hooks. Look at these. They are wooden and hand made. |

| Another thing that Teresa & I have in common is our love for our Granny's who is all in Heaven. |

| Here are the needles along with some of her Granny's thread and buttons. And then there is that little container. On the top it says "Learning to Barber...1929". I hope I am telling this right but Teresa's grandfather was a barber and her Granny wrote that on the top. Is that special or what? |

| I can't remember who asked me for the pattern for the caterpillar but I was told these patterns are all here and are free under animals. Let me know if you find them. I haven't had a chance to look yet. Aren't these so cute? |

| This is the beginning of my dishcloth. I did have some of the yellow on it but I had done it wrong and Polly (my teacher) pulled it out. She said, "do you want to do it right?" I said, "yes". She is the best teacher ever! |

| I have been going several weeks to this crochet class but the last time I was there I just looked up and there on the wall is this little quilt. This wall hanging is so pretty. I didn't even ask who made it. But I will next time I go! TODAY I AM THANKFUL FOR..........gratitude & serenity!! O, I LOVE your crochet class! That has to be such fun! I love to see others being creative, sometimes that is as much of a treat as doing the work yourself.
I loved those little caps with the fuzzy yarn on the end. I find that stuff Hard to work with because I get LOST in the stitches. LOL

So neat that you have reconnected with friends. Looks like you all have a great time. Love the old wooden crochet needles. Never seen any like those. Got to be special to your friend being that they belonged to her grandmother. I love that Angel and the other little girl are taking an interest in crocheting. So many crafts are becoming a lost art because our young people don't take an interest. Have a great evening

What a great post...isn't technology wonderful? It is what you make it and finding old friends and making new ones is the best! I'm so glad you're enjoying your crochet class and having a patient teacher is half the battle. That little box is a treasure - hang on to it! I've never used a wooden hook. I generally prefer the aluminum ones and I also like the ones with the padded handle for "endurance" crocheting ;-)
I always love your enthusiasm about all the things you do, you are an inspiration. Tho I haven't crocheted in years, I have a basket of yarn that I hope to make into a granny square afghan eventually. I always loved crocheting when I did it. These days sewing and knitting absorb most of my time. Keep on, Girl!

Nice that you've met up with your friend, FB is really doing us a big favor by helping us connect with old friends. Your trip was WONDERFUL, I love the pictures, especially the one with the mother and child sitting together. What a great time!!!! xoxoxox

That looks like so much fun as well as learning. I love crochet. I really need to get back into it.
