Simple Things At "Our Little Hilton"

One of our favorite things to do is ride in our little tracker
when it is cool and look for deer.
(don't know what is up with the picture quality-blogger
having problems again).

Sometimes we stop by and shoot our guns.
"Sweet Hunter" is very big on safety and knowing how to use our guns.

This stand we are using is actually for rifles but we are shooting pistols today.

I love the simplicity at the little hilton.
If I want to sew or crochet I can.
My new project at the little hilton is making hexies!

My first Hexie!
I haven't took the papers or the basting out.
I was disappointed because you can see where I sewed it together.
I guess that will just take practice.
Oh well, it is a start.

Before we left I cooked us a good healthy country breakfast!!
Salt Pork
Biscuits and gravy
Fried potatoes
Fried eggs
& jelly!!!
YUM!
What is up with these pictures?
Well, we got everything together that the vandals might be interested in.
They didn't bother the grill or lawnmower but we went ahead and chained them up
just in case.

Isn't it a shame that someone tries to ruin a good time.
We took everything that is worth anything back home.
The sad thing is we will have to carry it back and forth.
All that is inside is Granny's stuff.
We do have several t.v.'s and my sewing machine there.
I am sure that my signs are going to scare them off!!! lol
Then we head home and ran in to all this rain.
As we were driving through Atlanta we heard that 3 tornados
had just touched down. That was scary but then we heard that
there was an 18 car pile up on Interstate 75 so "Sweet Hunter"
said, not to worry he had a plan!!!

This was his plan!
On the way back "Sweet Hunter" stopped by his favorite place
to eat.  It's my second favorite. Houstons is my all time fave!!
Nevertheless, we celebrated our 33 years together by doing our
favorite thing....eating!!! lol

They start out by bringing you 2 kinds of salsa and chips.
Sweet Hunter always orders the cheese dip and tortillas too!
Way too much food for us!

Then he ordered this dish!
Oh My Goodness!
I don't remember what it is called but I do know it is for fajitas!!
This one has steak, chicken & huge shrimp that are wrapped
in bacon and stuff with jalapenos!!!
This man knows how to celebrate a 33rd anniversary!!!!
Can you tell it doesn't take a lot to make us happy????? lol

TODAY I AM THANKFUL FOR........being with my soul mate!!!

Happy anniversary!!! (just a bit late)
When we had a second home we used to wonder if sometime when we got there we would find that intruders had broken in but that never did happen. I think we were lucky because some of the neighboring properties did have break-ins. We were told that the "bad people" watch and learn who are the part-timers. One person told me years ago they had a second home and there were people who used the home when they were away (without permision) and left their trash behind, slept in their beds, etc. This couple quickly decided to sell the place, they could no longer enjoy having it. Such a shame that some people are not nice but it happens. Sorry your place was targeted. I hope the cameras catch them and help you solve the problem.

Happy belated Anniversary.
I'm so sorry that you have to be inconvenienced {like we were} to be happy in your "happy place". I hope the camera helps you catch the "mean" ones. It's a shame that there are people who don't want to work for what they "think" they want, they have to take from people who do work for what they get.

Do you hire out for breakfast? Just asking. or begging as the case may be.

Sounds like you had a great trip back home even tho there was bad weather, etc. The food looked great!
I am anxious to see if the cameras caught any "thugs" when you get back down there.

I always enlarge the photos of you shooting, it just cracks me up! Then you are off being a girly girl sewing or crocheting, I just love you! It is sad that you have to chain your things up. I am pretty darn sure that sign is going to do the trick.
