GRANNY'S Birthday Quilt Give Away

The stack of quilts doesn't look like this anymore thanks to all of you bloggers and friends.
We still have several left though and of course Granny is still sewing quilts!!

Precious Hands

Today is the day!!
I want to honor Granny's 96th birthday by having a give away!
I have purchased one of Granny's quilts for this event. I am so excited about this give away. It truly is more rewarding to give than to receive. There are several ways you can enter this drawing. You can do all or one!

Rules for Give Away
(I treasure any comments that you leave for me & Granny.)
1. If you have purchased a quilt from Granny then you qualify for 3 entries.
(1 quilt =3 entries, 2 quilts=6 entries, etc.)
2. If you send Granny a birthday card (address below) in the mail, then you qualify for 2 entries.
3. If you would like a "Granny Fan" Button on your blog & are a follower of this blog (deadline is Oct. 23), then you qualify for 1 entry. (I have the instructions for the "Granny button" that I will email to you when requested).
4. Special note: I have had several bloggers & friends wanting to do something for Granny. Any sweet gesture or gift will put your name in also and will be greatly appreciated- (Please make sure and tell me in a comment what you have done or are doing.) Please do not feel as though you have to do this. This was just a request by several and I wanted to acknowledge it.

If you do not have a blog then please leave your email address for me to contact you. I am keeping up with all of the purchases of quilts and birthday cards that are being sent but your job is to let me know through a comment or comments what all you have done or are planning to do. (Several of you have already sent birthday cards. Please comment and tell me.) That is how you will be eligible for this give away. (Example: I have bought 2 quilts, a birthday card is on the way ( or has been sent), and I have or would like the "Granny Fan Button" for my blog.) That would make you qualify for 9 entries BUT you have to tell me in a comment. You have plenty of time to at least send a birthday card if you would like to be in this drawing. You will make Grannys birthday special and also get a chance to win one of her quilts. Granny's quilts are far from perfect but are made with love and prayer and warmth.

Granny's 96th birthday is Oct. 24, 2009.

Entries will end on Oct. 23, 2009 at midnight.
The winner will be anounced no later than Oct. 26th!!
The address for a birthday card is:
Valerie Shoates
Attn: Granny
P.O. Box 35
Dalton, Ga. 30722
(Please put your blog address or email on the card).
Also, please leave your email address in the comment if you do not have a blog. I have to have a way to contact you if you win.
I am planning on letting Granny actually pick the name for this Give Away on her birthday. I will also save all of the birthday cards to give her that day!
Granny loves cards!
Give Away Prize is a full size quilt made by Granny and chose by me. There will also be a bonus gift with your quilt.
You all have been so great to Granny and this is my way to say thank you.
You all are a blessing.
A special thank you to Mary for some beautiful fabric that she cut for Granny. She also made the "Granny Fan Button". This button takes you to the video of Granny talking but I will put a note on that post for this give away.

Please go visit Martha! She actually started this whole Granny thing by buying the first quilt! She also honored me and Granny with a special post that meant the world to me. Go to her Sept. 13 post titled Grandparents Day. Thank you Martha!

Also, thank you to my daughter Shannon for giving me this idea.
I have tried to find a poem to honor Granny but I could not think of anything better than this. It says it all.
Proverbs 31:10-31
Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her,
so that he shall have no need of spoil.

She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.

She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.

She riseth also while it is yet night,
and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.

She considereth a field, and buyeth it:
with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.

She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.

She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.

She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.

She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.

She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.

She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.

Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.

She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.

Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain:
but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

*This give away is open to all bloggers & Friends. Family is excluded (just to be fair- sorry!).*

Thank you all!!!

Pretty Granny

Look at Granny! Isn't she beautiful?
I went to a family reunion for Granny's family today.
It was in a park under a shed and there were lots of people there that I didn't know.
I sat beside Granny a lot and when there was no one around she would describe to me how that bobbin dropped down in that new machine. She is really trying to figure it out in her mind. I told her that I was going to be out of town a couple of days and she looked so sad. I told her that my Aunt Carol would be there to help her. One time she said that she was just not sure if she could learn it all. I reminded her of that verse I gave her the other day. Phillipians 4:13. She said, "I still have that verse in my heart and I am carrying it with me always." That just meant the world to me. I carry my Granny in my heart.
This is me, Granny and my Dad.
My Daddy is so good to my Granny.
All her children are. They visit everyday.
I can't wait to get back in town so I can go spend some time with her.
Granny sews the quilt tops together on Mondays & Tuesdays and then on Wednesdays she sandwiches it together and starts sewing it. By Thursday she usually always has a quilt finished. Amazing. And of course Fridays are "wash days". (Laundry) She usually doesn't sew on the weekends but she just cannot wait until Monday rolls around again.

You all have heard about my Aunt Carol & Uncle Joe (Grannys son).
Now you have met them. They are precious to Granny.
Carol is the one that helped Granny on her new machine the other day.
My aunt also saved the day when me & Granny did all those peas. I had to leave and Carol came and finished putting the peas in the freezer.

I think you have met my cousin Nancy once before on my blog.
She is Joe & Carols daughter. Nancy is a lot younger than me but there is just something about her that feels like we have been around each other forever. We are family but we have never been close but I am telling you that this is the sweetest girl I know. Everytime I am around her I realize how much I love her. She is a very hard worker. Her step son is leaving for Japan with the Navy. I told him thank you for serving our country.
Nancy, we need to have lunch one day. Wanna meet at Grannys???
I bet we could find some cornbread!!!! We both are big "Granny Fans".

This is Granny and her 3 sons. She also has 3 daughters but they weren't there.
I really enjoyed seeing all of my family (the ones I knew).
There were others that I don't have pictures of. I have another cousin, Shirley that has researched our family history for as long as I can remember. She had stacks of books there with pictures, newspaper articles and the family tree. I would have loved to have looked at it closer.
She has put a lot of work into it. Then I saw Ginger, Shirleys younger sister. I thought I had a picture of her but I don't see it. Granny had 1 sister that was there. If I am not wrong, there are only 3 left including Granny. She has a brother that was one of triplets but he has been sick so he could not come.
I just thought you would enjoy meeting some of mine and Granny's family.
But isn't Granny pretty?

IF YOU WOULD LIKE A "GRANNY FAN" BUTTON FOR YOUR BLOG JUST EMAIL ME AND I WILL SEND YOU INSTRUCTIONS.

Thank you Mary for making this for me!

REMINDER:

The Give Away is coming!

I have never had one so I am very excited.

I am planning on posting the Give Away Tuesday, Lord willing and the creek don't rise. (Is that just a Southern saying?)

Keep watching! Are you ready?? I can't wait.

Almost Happy Granny

I went by Granny's house yesterday and she had just finished this quilt. My new blogging friend Diane has already claimed this quilt.

Granny said that she was so flustered because they said that they could not fix her sewing machine. But my Uncle Joe and Aunt Carol brought her another one. It looks really nice and my Aunt Carol had spent most of the morning helping her to learn the machine. Granny said that my aunt was so good with it. Once Granny gets to sewing on it she said she is fine but if she had to thread it or fill a bobbin she hasn't learned that yet. But she will.

After she showed me the quilt I told her I had her another surprise.
She said, "Another one?" I told her yes.
This one had a very sweet note attached. It was from Tricia S.
I don't think she has a blog. (If you do Tricia, send me the address).
Granny could read this note good because it was typed and it was easy for her to see.
Thank you Tricia for blessing Granny.
Your quilt is on the way!

This is Granny's new sewing machine. Well, it is an old one but it is very nice and in very good condition. See my little featherweight sitting over in the floor? Granny said the foot pedal was too hard for her to push. I wonder if I could change the foot pedal because it is even hard for me. Anyway, this new machine isn't built in like her other was. My uncle fixed it where it just sits up on her sewing machine cabinet. But I have to tell you the funniest thing. Granny is used to putting her sewing machine down in the cabinet and folding it up when she is through. Well this one is not built in. Before I left she looked at me and said, "Beth does that sewing machine just sit there naked?" I said, "Naked"? She said "yes". It took me a minute but I finally figured it out. She was asking me does it just sit there like that all the time. I told her yes. I need to find a cover to go over it for her so she will not think it is naked!!! Smile.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE A "GRANNY FAN" BUTTON FOR YOUR BLOG JUST EMAIL ME AND I WILL SEND YOU INSTRUCTIONS. Thank you Mary for making this for me!

REMINDER:
IT IS ALMOST HERE.
THE GIVE AWAY WILL BE ANNOUNCED
NO LATER THAN TUESDAY MORNING.
I PROMISE.
STAY TUNED..........

Granny's Heart

I could not get my mind off of Granny today being without her sewing machine so I decided to go back over there today. I walked in and when I saw her dusting her furniture I knew the sewing machine must not be fixed yet. My Uncle Joe took it to the repair shop for her. Granny even did her washing today (Thursday)!!! Friday is always "wash day!" This is just not right. Yesterday when I got home I received more money for quilts. So I asked Granny to sit down. I told her that I had her some surprises.

She said she wasn't feeling good today. I said well this will make your day better.

So I gave her this card from Sandra! She just loved the card. It made her smile.

Then she opened it up and found money for 2 quilts.

She said, "Whew"! She loved it.

Then I said well that is not all Granny. I handed her another 50.00 for another quilt

from Lani! Granny got so excited. That is 3 quilts! I told her to get ready that I had more surprises for her. She said that she did not know if she could take it! Smile.

I handed her 3 more 50.00 bills for 3 more quilts so that was 6 in all.

I have sold some quilts locally to friends and they will be picking them up soon so I went ahead got them. I just thought today would be a good day to make Granny extra happy since she is so sad about her sewing machine. She was so funny! She said, "I am rich!" But I could tell she still didn't feel good. So I went out and brought another little surprise in for her!!!

I brought her my little Singer featherweight machine. Thank you to Mary for suggesting it. She said she had never saw anything like it. She loved it but kept saying, "I can't." I would say "can't what?" She said, "I can't learn it."

She even looked up like a little child and said, "I want MY sewing machine!"

I told her that it was so easy to use but I understood that she is used to hers. Finally after she said those words "I can't" several more times. I looked her right in the eye and said, "Granny, do you remember Phillipians 4:13?" She looked right at me and said, "yes, what is it?"

I told her that it says she can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. When I said that, she looked up at me and repeated it several times. She knew the exact words once I reminded her.

She decided that her house shoes were too big for the foot pedal so she changed
shoes and tried again as she quoted that verse over and over.

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

When I left her she was still at the little featherweight machine trying and rehearsing that verse.

I kissed her goodbye and told her that I would come back tomorrow & help her some more. She looked up at me and held her hand over her heart and told me that she will have that verse in her heart all night. (Tears.)

Everytime I go to bless Granny, she always blesses me. Thank you to all of you that have bought quilts from Granny. You are a blessing to her.

Special Prayer Request: Pray that Granny gets her sewing machine back soon!!!

REMINDER:

THERE IS GOING TO BE A GIVE AWAY AND ALL OF YOU GRANNY FANS ARE GONNA LOVE IT!!!! KEEP WATCHING! IT IS COMING THIS WEEK!

More Blessings For Granny!

Don't ask me why my pictures are small because I don't know.
A special "thank you" to Mary for this beautiful card, money for a quilt and the fabric blocks that she cut for Granny. Granny was so excited. She said that those ought to be enough for a quilt. What a sweet gift. Thank you Mary. Your quilt will be shipped tomorrow.

This is a very sweet note from Connie to Granny along with the money for another quilt.
Connie has already blessed Granny once and now she purchased another one.
Check out her blog. She is having a give away!
Thank you Connie!

Granny loved the fabric that Mary sent her.
She was amazed that someone would do that for her.

She reads each card herself outloud.
It is so sweet.

This is a card from Kim. Kim bought a quilt last week
and I just now gave her the card.
Granny just loved it Kim. Thank you for blessing Granny by purchasing a quilt.
Kim just started a blog and she posted about her quilt. She has been introducing her beautiful family too. Go over and visit her and say hello at Kim's Blog!

I wish you could have heard her read every word.
Priceless.
This sweet card is from Nanci - I failed to take a picture close up but it had her money clipped inside the card. Granny loved reading this. Thanks Nanci for blessing Granny.
Your quilt will be in the mail tomorrow.

The other day Granny had asked me to cut some of her fabric. There was not much but I cut them anyway. I brought my rotary cutter and mat and worked on some in her kitchen. She could not get over that cutter. She said, "Beth, you amaze me". Granny can make me feel so good without me doing a thing. I loved hearing it even though cutting with a rotary cutter is all I know. Granny has always used scissors. It is the little things that Granny appreciates.
At one point she got big tears in her eyes and said "I just don't know what to think."
She said she loves you all and to tell you thank you.
She was so sad today until I came bearing your gifts. Her sewing machine is tore up again so she was so lost without it. I hope my Uncle Joe gets if fixed and back to her tomorrow.
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
INFORMATION ON MY VERY FIRST GIVE AWAY IS COMING SOON!
I THINK YOU WILL LIKE IT.
I AM SO EXCITED.
KEEP CHECKING BACK!

Grandchildren, Granny's Quilts & More

"Little D" with Gran & Paw Paw
9 months old! I am a big boy!

Here I am eating lunch with "Little B".
He never stopped talking the whole time.
Notice he is missing 2 teeth? I picked him up from school one afternoon and he wanted me to pull the first one. We were actually at a car wash. The second one I pulled on a different day, we had just left a car wash. I thought that was strange. Car washes & teeth???
By the way, the tooth fairy brings a lot more money than she used to when I was a little girl!

Brett- cleaning up his lunch dishes at school!
His mommy needs to see this!

It was grandparents day at the school so I ate with both grandchildren on the same day.
I didn't actually eat though. School food doesn't appeal to me. I drank a glass of tea and visited with my babies. I think they love me! I call her "My Angel" because she is the happiest little girl all the time!

Here is "my angel" fixing her tray at lunch. A bean burrito in a package?? Yuk!
But the kids love it! Thats what counts, I guess.

This isn't a good picture of my oldest granddaughter. She is the batter. I call her "Sweet Teen". This is her life now......Ball! I wonder if she would have liked me to come and eat with her at lunch? NOT.
When they become teens it changes. But she will always be my baby.
I brought some of the quilts from Grannys home because I wanted to organize them since I have sold so many. I brought them home, looked on my blog to see who had bought which ones and have them ready and waiting for shipment. I will take these back to Grannys until I get payment for them. Then as I give her the money, I will get the quilst and I can keep it straight in my mind. So far, everyone that tells me the money is on the way has sent it to me in the mail. Bloggers are really something! You all have blessed Granny so much!

These quilts were shipped yesterday. They are going to Kim, Michelle, Connie (second quilt) & Marlene.
Thank you all. Enjoy your quilts!

A Thank You Video From Granny

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE GIVE AWAY.......after you watch this sweet video of Granny talking to you (see below), go to my post titled- GRANNY BIRTHDAY QUILT GIVE AWAY. It is dated Tues Sept. 29th and closes Oct. 23rd.
Thank you to Michelle H. for buying 2 of Granny's Quilts. This is a picture of Granny when she was reading your sweet note. She was so thrilled! Your quilts will be on the way this week!
Also thank you to a special friend (like a daughter) Shannon C. for buying a quilt too. I hope you enjoy it. Also, another thank you to Kim M. for buying a quilt. You can pick one out on the sidebar and let me know which one you would like. I have numbered them to make it easier.
This Video is from Granny to all of you!

This is to all of you bloggers & friends who have bought or are thinking of buying a quilt from Granny. I asked her if she would like to thank everyone and she said yes. I am sorry that my southern voice is so loud but Granny doesn't hear well and I wanted her to tell you about some different things that we had already talked about. She is so blessed everytime I come in and tell her that I have sold a quilt. As you notice in the video she says something like she could not find "no buying"- that means she hasn't sold many quilts before all of you started buying and she is thanking everyone. I have talked her into making some baby quilts after she gets through with the next 2 big quilts. They are precious. I am adding her quilts that are for sale to my side bar. She has about 20 more that are already made up and I hope many more to come. Thank you for loving my Granny by buying her quilts. You have truly blessed her. I hope you enjoyed the video.

P.S. I have had many many emails about Granny's birthday. She will be 96 years old on Oct. 24. If you would like to send her a birthday card when it gets closer to that date- You can send it to:

Granny Overwhelmed?

I went to see Granny this past Friday. I walked in and she was in the kitchen. She looked up at me and she said, "Oh Beth, I am so glad to see you." It wasn't a happy sound. She was overwhelmed. I asked her what was wrong. She said, "Oh you just don't know what a mess I am in." I was really getting concerned. As you remember this is laundry day. The dryer was going. As we passed her bedroom, she pointed to her bed and said, "Look." I saw the sheets were off the bed and I asked her if they were in the dryer. (It was around 10:00 a.m.) She said, "My bed is not even made." I told her not to worry that I would take care of that. She said, "Oh no, that is not all!" She told me to follow her. So I follow her as she slowly walks in the living room and again she said, "Look." I looked around and saw a couple of baskets of peas that she was shelling. She was really concerned that she would not get it all done. I told her not to worry and that I would help her. I told her to sit down and take a deep breath and that I had a surprise for her. I wish you could have saw the look on her face. She looked at me as if to say she didn't have time because she had so much to do. She didn't say that but I just read her face. Then I showed her Sherry's card, 50.00 for her quilt, and the crocheted book marks. She got big tears in her eyes as she looked at them.

She read the card out loud to me and with tears in her eyes she told me that the card and crosses & my visit made her day. She placed the crosses in her Bible.

Then I surprised her and pulled out another 100.00 for 2 more quilts.
She just could not believe it. She was so happy. She told me to make sure and tell all of my friends that she makes the quilts to keep you warm. I told her that I told everyone that. I told her that everybody loves her quilts. She looked at me and said, "they must like them-I have never sold this many before."
This seemed to calm Granny down and ease her mind. So I told her that we better get busy shelling those peas. She said that she didn't think she would be through before Monday and that she had to start another quilt. I told her that it was just Friday and that I was there to help her. I had not planned to stay there as long as I did but I just could not leave her with all of that to do.
Granny has to eat her lunch around 11:30. I saw that it was about 11:15 and I told her that I was going to run and pick us up something to eat. She isn't used to going out too much. I asked her if she would like a hamburger or vegetables. She would not give me an answer and kept telling me that she would just warm up some green beans that she had the night before. It is not that she doesn't have more, she just eats that way. I finally convinced her to let me go and pick up something. I brought a to go plate with turkey and dressing, cooked cabbage, okra, pinto beans, and cranberry sauce. I also brought us banana pudding. I even bought her a glass of tea. I knew that she likes milk but I went ahead and got her one thinking if she doesn't drink it I would enjoy it later on. But she wanted it. She acted excited. She said that was enough for 4 meals for her. It was so funny....she eats with a spoon. I knew that but she got the little plastic fork that came with the meal and started using it. All of the sudden, she looked at me and said, "Do you care if I get my spoon?" I said, "of course not, Granny." She really enjoyed our lunch. I really enjoyed our lunch! She said, "Look Beth, I only have my spoon to wash!"

While Granny was at the sink washing her spoon, I ran out to the dryer and put her sheets on and made her bed. She didn't notice for a few minutes. She was putting her food up so she could eat it at supper and looked over at her bed and said, "Who came in and made my bed?" I told her that I did it. She said, "when?" I said while you were washing your spoon. I honestly think that she thought someone came in and did it. I also had folded her little load of clothes and laid them on the dresser. She saw that and could not believe that it was already done. I didn't attempt to put them up because she has told me when someone puts her stuff up she cannot find anything. She is so funny.

So here we go again, shelling the peas.
Granny uses scissors to cut the end of the peas to make it easier for her to open.
I was on the other side listening to her talk about how long it was going to take her to get this all done. I was determined that I was going to try to finish shelling them before I had to leave but I don't think she believed me.
She worked so hard. I found out something about Granny.
I always thought her "Grunt, Sigh, & whistle" was just when she quilted but
she made the same sounds while doing the peas!

I just love pictures of Granny at her sink.
This is when she was washing her spoon.
Precious.
We are finally through shelling the peas!!!!!
Granny was so happy and so was I!
Me & Granny don't want to see any more peas!
I wanted you all to notice the collar on Granny's dress. It has a safety pin in it. I asked her why she had it pinned. I can't remember the words she said but it was all about being modest. I thought that was sweet.
Granny & I had some sweet conversations that day. One time she looked at me and said, "What are we doing this hard work for?" But she also let me know how thankful she was. There were a lot of quiet times too. They were precious. Along with hearing her grunts, sighs and whistles, I listened to her breathe as she worked. She would stop and show me the really pretty full peas. She would say they are beautiful. I thought about how much work this woman had done in her lifetime. Granny will be 96 years old on Oct. 24th.
I hated to leave but I had to. Before I left I vacuumed her house. I wonder if she noticed that. I don't even think she heard the vacuum cleaner. I loved helping Granny. I need to do it more.
I helped her wash and pick through all of the peas. Then I put them on the stove.
Granny was so tired. She never lays down during the day. (That must be where I get it. I cannot sleep during the day.) But I had to leave to go pick up my grandchildren from school. I told her to let them come to a boil and then turn them off. She said her back was hurting so bad and that she might lay down. I told her that she couldn't lay down until the peas were turned off. I was going to try to run back over but I got so worried about her forgetting about those peas on the stove that I called my aunt Carol. She lives down the road from Granny. I asked her if she would go and check on Granny and the peas. She said she would, so I felt so much better. I clean houses to make extra money and had one job to do after I left. I just could not leave her seeing how overwhelmed she was. So I was so relieved when my aunt said she would take care of it. My day with Granny was so special but I can tell you one thing she is a hard worker. I had never saw her overwhelmed before so I didn't know anything to do but to help her. When I left I think Granny was feeling better, just tired. Once I talked to my aunt, I was feeling better.
Thank you, Aunt Carol!
Special Note:
Please go and read Martha's Blog. She is the first blogger that purchased a quilt from Granny. She started this ball rolling for Granny. In this post she honored me and my Granny today, Sept. 13, 2009. I am speechless and in tears. Thank you Martha.

Sweet Gifts for Granny & More Quilts Sold!

Look what Sherry sent me & Granny in the mail.

She made the cross bookmarks. They are beautiful.

She told me that one was for me. I was so excited.

Thank you Sherry!

By the way, did you make that card? It is beautiful.

Sherry purchased a quilt from Granny and here is her note to her.

She has posted about her quilt on her blog if you would like to see it. (Just click on her name)
I will be taking this card to Granny tomorrow. I am going to take both bookmarks and let Granny decide which she would rather have.

Thank you Sherry for blessing Granny.

This is the quilt that Sherry bought from Granny.

Sherrys little boy took over the quilt so she said

that she will start saving her money for another one.

SOLD: This quilt is sold to a special friend for a gift.

SOLD: This quilt is sold. I don't have the money yet but it is on the way.

Michelle P. H. is buying 2 quilts. She is buying one for her daughter also.

Michelle is this the one you wanted (above)?

SOLD: I think this one (above) is sold to Shannon C.-

Let me know if this is the one you wanted.
This is one of my favorites.

This quilt is very pretty and uses many colors.
Nobody has picked this one yet.
I have several emails & calls from people wanting a Granny quilt.
If you see one that is not sold that you want
just let me know and I will hold it until your money comes in.
I never ever imagined selling quilts for Granny through my blog.
I wasn't even trying.

This quilt is unique. See the backing?
I love it. Of course I love them all.

UPDATE: SOLD 9/11/09 I received an email from Tricia S.

She wants the quilt above. Thanks Tricia!!!

This is a beautiful quilt. I guess you could say it is reversible since the backing is a print also.
Granny says that she doesn't make quilts to be pretty even though they are. She makes them for warmth.
I promise all of her quilts are made with love and prayer.

SOLD: Michelle P.H. wants this one for her daughter.
Let me know if I am correct Michelle.

Like I said before, I never even tried to sell Grannys quilts but you all have blessed her so much. I get a blessing just seeing her face when I bring her a card and money. I hope you enjoyed this little tour of quilts. I will have more pictures after I go over there tomorrow.

Thank you to all of you that love my Granny. She is a special woman.

Everytime a quilt is bought Granny thinks she has to hurry and make another. Thank you for giving her something to wake up to in the mornings. She said that this gives her hope.
